The medsindex calculator is a very simple and effective tool, but the way it currently works in Z dispense is time consuming and tedious. If it were easier to use, with proactive setting s and reminders, it could be a great boon to improving patient compliance, health outcomes and pharmacy profits. There are some small tweaks that would improve it, as well as enhancements to the system.

1. Have it be able to use multiple scripts and not rely on consecutive repeats for dispensing.

2. Have it able to factor in scripts for different quantities of medicines (authority scripts, 60 days, etc)

3. If the first two components worked well, there could be automatic pop ups or reports that could alert the pharmacy to patients who may not be compliant, allowing proactive follow up.

4. Potentially have a separate feature that can quickly be reviewed and adjusted to keep a current regular medicines list, that could use this data to monitor compliance.
